Mother and daughter team, Connie and Annalise deBoer are officially the new owners and operators of Action Talent Inc. Both of these dedicated business woman, are knowledgeable in the film industry and are highly experienced in talent management.

Connie the president and director, brings to Action Talent twenty five years of business, political, and human relations experience. Her hard work and love of the film industry brought her to Vancouver and eventually to the purchase of Action talent, a highly respected sports agency founded by Sherry Boyde.

Annalise the co owner, director ,and booking agent ,has studied film production in Maine and Vancouver Film School. She adds a wealth of current knowledge to the agency. Her energy and enthusiasm has been a huge asset in developing a strong relationship with our casting partners.

Both Connie and Annalise are avid outdoor enthusiasts, and are extremely motivated in the promotion of athletes in the film industry. It was their mutual respect and admiration of professional athletes, that led them to this unique group of individuals and it is that same respect and admiration that continues to be the driving force of Action Talent.

Mark Hornby of Whistler will be the new face of Hummer USA. He will appear as a fly fisherman in the upcoming US ad campaign. Congratulations Mark!

Hello Action Talent,

I just want to update you with the status of the agency. I took some time off in December and the early part of this year to have a baby. I am now back to administer at the office. Chris will be handling bookings and I will be overseeing jobs, processing payroll and general administration. I hope you all a great winter. We have jobs coming in all the time so be sure to keep your profile up to date and stay in contact with Chris.

December has been a record month for Action Talent here in Whistler. With several big productions filming in the Whistler area we have been busy. AT&T filmed two commercial spots up here in the past two months. The first shoot featured Richie Schley mountain biking with friends Damian Cromwell, Shin Campos, James Collingridge and Waylon Edwards. The second
spot featured downhill racer and past Olympian Roman Torn as well as young pairs ice skaters Jericho Boulin and Bruno Morcott.

Opel cars shot a spot to be aired in Europe on the mountain. Action Talent was out in full effect with the ski talents of another hot mom Olympic Freestyle Medalist Tami Bradley, Erika Gibbons, Virginia Croy and stuntman Steve Thoss.

H&R Block's US National spot took place on Blackcomb mountain with the latest hot snowboarding mom Kendra Star. Unfortunately the conditions in the park were pretty hard at that time and Kendra tweaked her knee but she doesn't think it's serious and she'll be back in a couple of weeks. Stepping in to fill her boots was Pilar Peterson dropping it new school in the pipe. We hope Kendra bounces back quickly and congratulations to Pilar on getting her first stunt credit.

Several athletes rallied to get their demo reels in to a casting for a McDonald's spot which featured Ronald appearing in several Olympic sports: Nordic Jumping, Aerials and Pairs Skating. Olympic Freestyler Andi Capacik landed the role as Ronald in the aerials spot. Young pairs skaters Tarrah Harvey and Keith Gagnon were flown to Calgary to back up the first choice skaters. Although they didn't get the principal role the experience was great for their first booking.

To round off the month and wrap up the year The L Word was in town for one week shooting their season finale with Whistler wedding. Action Talent was there to provide background performers, stand ins and snowboarding doubles. It was a big week and happily everything went great. Thanks to all the background performers for creating a realistic Whistler setting for the L Word Girls!

Now it's snowing in Whistler and we are getting ready for Christmas madness on the slopes. We at Action Talent wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a powder filled New Year!

Biathlete Sandra Keith of Calgary Alberta has qualified to represent Canada in Torino at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. This will be Sandra's first Olympics! The official anouncement of the Canadian Biathlon team will be made in January. Congratulations Sandra!

Pro wakeboarder Jason Hill will be making his screen debut as 'Sas' Kokanee's action Sasquatch. Look for Sas (Hill) up to his up to his usual hijinks this time on a wakeboard. Also watch for the lovely Glacier Girls tearing up the water on jetskis. We can't wait to see this latest commercial from Kokanee coming this spring.
